The Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour, is a junior golf tour like no other, offering a unique and inclusive experience for young golfers at every level. Unlike many traditional tours, we focus on providing playing opportunities for grassroots children who do not yet have a formal golf handicap. This means that every child, regardless of their experience, has the chance to get out on the course, play 9 holes, and enjoy the thrill of competition in a fun and supportive environment.

Open to age categories from U6 to U18, the tour prioritises fun and participation over pressure, making it an ideal entry point for children just starting their golfing journey. By focusing on enjoyment and personal development rather than scores alone, the Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour builds confidence in young players, helping them develop not only their skills but also a love for the game.
For families, the tour is a wonderful opportunity to share in their child’s golfing experience. Parents can watch their children grow as golfers while also enjoying the social aspect of the tour’s welcoming community. How the Kondor Kidz
Junior Golf Tour Began
The Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour (then called the Gallops Tour) was founded in 2023 by PGA Professional Tom James, a leading figure in junior golf development. Tom’s passion for creating opportunities for grassroots golfers led him to launch a tour designed to introduce children to the sport in a fun, pressure-free environment. His vision was simple – to make golf accessible to all young players, regardless of experience or handicap, while focusing on participation and enjoyment.
In late 2023, during an event at Beedles Lake, Tom met Callum Cooke, founder of Kondor Kidz. With a shared passion for inspiring the next generation of golfers and their shared commitment to encouraging children to take up the sport and nurture their love for the game sparked a fantastic partnership. By 2024, Kondor Kidz became more involved with the tour, bringing fresh energy and ideas that aligned with Tom’s original goals. Looking ahead to 2025, the tour will officially rebrand as the Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour, continuing its mission of growing junior golf in a fun and inclusive way.
About Tom James, PGA
Tom James is a highly respected PGA Fellow Professional and coach, ranked in the top 5% of PGA Professionals worldwide. His passion for junior golf is evident through his work as the Head of Leicester Golf Centre’s Junior Academy, where he mentors young golfers and helps them develop their skills from the ground up. Tom is also the 1st team golf coach at De Montfort University and Captain of the Leicestershire & Rutland Professional Golfers Association, further showcasing his leadership and dedication to the sport.
As the founder of multiple junior golf initiatives, including the Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour, Tom is driven by his commitment to growing the game of golf by nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for all children to participate. The Elexis Brown Golf Foundation
The Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour is proud to partner with The Elexis Brown Golf Foundation Charity, joining forces to provide greater access to the game for children from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds. In memory of Elexis, the foundation is dedicated to ensuring that golf, a sport often seen as privileged, becomes accessible to all children, regardless of their circumstances. By focusing on young players from low-income families, ethnic minorities, and those with disabilities or mental health challenges, the foundation aligns perfectly with the values of the Kondor Kidz Junior Golf Tour.
